Buy Your Dinner From The Neighbors!!

There are many places in and around Plainfield that offer some of the tastiest meats you might ever cook up on a grill, which you can pick up right at the farm!  Most are equipped to take cash and checks on an honor system basis, with an option of using a credit card if you can track down the owners.  If meat isn't your style, no problem!  There's anice little market on the way through town that has a great variety of locally grown produce and fresh baked bread.

A few choice vendors are:

Plainfield Co-op

Co-op
"As a non-profit cooperative market, the Plainfield Co-op serves local producers, growers, and shoppers. Our purpose is to provide an outlet of distribution for local producers and growers, and to generate a sense of community in what would otherwise be a dispersed rural population."

Cleary Family Farm

Cleary Family
"The Cleary Family Farm specializes in direct marketing of high quality grass-fed livestock products. Our diversified farm consists of cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens that are rotated through our hillside pastures. All of our animals are raised as nature intended–grazing in the fresh air and sunshine, resulting in exceptionally delicious and healthy products."

Hollister Hill Farm

"First opened in 2001, we started offering for sale our own naturally/organically raised Beefalo beef, pork, chickens, turkeys, eggs and maple syrup. All 100% anti-biotic and hormone-free products and produced right here at our farm. Folks from all over the area came and enjoyed our products, these were the early days of the localvore movement.  Our customers and especially the kids love being on the farm and visiting with the animals. Our animals are raised with the utmost of care and respect. They have a happy, healthy life while they are here at Hollister Hill Farm."
